Executive Vice President

Scott, who earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Horticulture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, oversees sales and customer experience for the multiple departments at McAdam.  He is also involved in assisting in the development of strategic initiatives as a member of the company’s executive team.

He has extensive knowledge of horticultural practices, plant pest/disease identification and treatment, integrated pest management, and plant health care, enabling him to offer expert services that improve clients’ landscapes.  Since 2011, he has written the “Ask the Plant Expert” advertorial column that appears monthly in the Wednesday Journal of Oak Park and River Forest, among other local publications. Working primarily within the commercial sector, he uses his love of mathematics and strategy to deliver products and services that are budget-driven and provide high quality results. Scott also enjoys building relationships with new and existing clients and tailoring services to best suit those clients.  During the snow season, he prepares McAdam for the uncertainty of winter weather and provides a framework for the entire team to execute efficient and timely service for its clients.

Outside of McAdam, he is the immediate Past President of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association, where he assists in shaping policy for the state’s landscape industry to support contractors and the green industry, at large.  In addition to his board involvement, he was the past chairman of the ILCA’s Golf Outing Committee and is liaison to the Snow and Young Professionals committees.  He is a member of Chicago Scots and is former co-chairman of their Kilted Classic Golf Tournament committee with continued goals of growth in attendance and revenue to support their charity.  When not involved at work or with other industry associations, he enjoys CrossFit, weightlifting, golfing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and children.
