In the beautiful Lincoln Park neighborhood, we transformed an old, tired backyard into a vibrant and functional entertaining space. The vision of our client was to have a space that was both beautiful and functional for them to enjoy for many years to come. Their wish to replace the old, wooden deck with a masonry deck, inspired by another property in the area, became reality with the completion of this project. A full concrete foundation was poured, face brick was installed to match the existing home, cut limestone caps and treads were placed on the steps and deck, mortared bluestone for the deck pad, and custom wrought iron railings were installed. An expansive blue stone patio was the chosen hardscape material to add definition to the space. The plant palette was chosen to provide multiple seasons of interest through various flower color, fall color, and textures.
