President
Scott, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, is the Executive Vice President and oversees the design, implementation, and management of business plans, as well as corporate strategy and finance at McAdam.
He has extensive knowledge of horticultural practices, plant pest/disease identification and treatment, integrated pest management, and plant health care, enabling him to offer expert services and consultation that improve clients’ landscapes. Internally, he provides supervisory support to the staff to support corporate growth and ensure business plan execution is aligned with the company’s vision. He consistently monitors industry and economic trends to adapt fiscal year budgets and strategies to ensure profit and loss performance. His love of mathematics, accounting, and strategy has assisted in providing budget-driven, high-quality, and unique landscape solutions.
Outside of McAdam, he is a Past President of the Board of Directors of Landscape Illinois, where he assisted in shaping policy for the state’s landscape industry to support contractors and the green industry, at large. In addition to his board involvement, he was the past chairperson of the Landscape Illinois’ Golf Outing Committee and now serves as the chairperson of the Owners and Senior Managers Committee. He is a member of Chicago Scots and is former co-chairman of their Kilted Classic Golf Tournament committee with continued goals of growth in attendance and revenue to support their charity. When not involved at work or with other industry associations, he enjoys CrossFit, weightlifting, golfing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and children.
